Explore Bay Area food
Printed from https://gourmetgastronomer.com/learn/bay-area-food/
A short geographic walk from San Francisco bread into grain, markets, North Bay dairy, fruit, jam, and wine country.
This is a map of how food sits around the Bay, not a weekend itinerary. The Ferry Building is a merchant hall in a landmark the marketplace dates to 1898 1. From there the path can fork: Cowgirl Creamery (historical shop, living creamery), Sonoma County wine and dairy, cooperative baking at Arizmendi Bakery (9th Avenue), or the long commercial sour loaf at Boudin Bakery.
