Skills

Transferable kitchen practices — tasting, food safety, and other foundations — that no single craft should own.

Skills are portable. Tasting is how a baker, a cheesemonger, and a wine drinker all pay attention. Food safety is how preserving and dairy work stay honest.

Wine has a method page at Tasting wine; cheese at Tasting cheese. Neither replaces the general skill.
