Describe the wine before reaching for a score or tasting-note vocabulary. Tannin is astringency caused in part by interactions with saliva proteins, not a flavor adjective 1. Geography after the path: Napa Valley, Sonoma County, then Appellation of origin as the label rule and Terroir as interpretation rather than an AVA.
